Egmond built electric guitars for anyone who wanted to play a guitar or bass but didn't have enough money to afford a Höfner, Framus, Hoyer or Klira, let alone a Burns, Fender or Gibson. In 1935, Egmond already built serial acoustic guitars. In the late sixties and early seventies Egmond built electric guitars for almost every pop group.
